Welcome to Ivy Green

Ivy Green Preschool is an independent early childhood school located in the heart of Wayland Square on Providence’s East Side. Our programs combine nurturing care with intentional, educator-led learning for infants as young as 6 weeks through preschool age 5. We look forward to expanding our educational programs to include Kindergarten through Grade 2 for the 2027–2028 academic year.

At Ivy Green, our mission is to give young children a strong beginning—one that builds confidence, curiosity, independence, and a genuine love of learning.

We combine intentional teaching with meaningful exploration, giving children the opportunity to think deeply, ask questions, create, collaborate, and develop the academic and social-emotional skills they will carry with them as they grow.

At Ivy Green, our bright, welcoming classrooms are designed around children’s ages and stages of development. From spaces for infants to connect and explore to classrooms where toddlers and preschoolers build independence, each room supports children as they grow.

Inviting materials, familiar routines, and caring educators help children feel secure and ready to learn. As their abilities develop, children have opportunities to investigate, create, and work together, with intentional guidance from their teachers.
